"Grant Brydon is a positive force in this often frustrating world of journalists - knows his stuff inside out, great writer, not jaded and pushes all quality music without prejudice."
- Rob Pursey, Southern Hospitality
My passion for music - particularly hip-hop, grime, R&B and electronic - has lead me to become a music journalist, blogger and content creator. I'm currently spending the majority of my time working as Hip-Hop Editor at Clash Magazine, Online Music Editor at RWD Mag and Social Media editor at 100 Percent.
My career in writing began from setting up my own blog, HipHopFiend.com (R.I.P) and I wrote two weekly columns for SB.TV - Mixtape Monday and Ones To Watch - throughout 2012-2014. As a freelance writer I've had the honour of contributing to the likes of GQ Style, Noisey, I-D, Bonafide, Mass Appeal, OkayPlayer, Pigeons & Planes, The 405, Acclaim, Notion, Soul Culture and Viper.
My journey so far has lead me to conversations that I'd never in a million years have imagined myself in, interviewing a wide range of artists including Nas, Cam'ron, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, J. Cole, Big Sean, Earl Sweatshirt, Future, Raekwon, Ice Cube, T.I., Run The Jewels, JME, Mike Skinner, Rae Sremmurd, Little Simz, Ty Dolla $ign, Tinashe, Joey Bada$$, Raury, Rome Fortune, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, DJ Mustard, A$AP Ferg, Travi$ Scott, Young Fathers, Jhene Aiko, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Ghostpoet, Future Brown, Bun B and Mykki Blanco.
